Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Kairo Hosting and any server or service you order from us. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to them.

Last updated:

1. Who we are

Kairo Hosting (“we”, “us”) is operated by Kai Klein. Our full operator details are on the Imprint page. You can reach us at support@kairohosting.com.

2. Services

We provide managed Minecraft game server hosting. Depending on the plan you choose, this includes allocated RAM and CPU resources, disk storage, a control panel, DDoS-protected network connectivity, and support for server software such as Paper, Spigot, Fabric, Forge and Quilt.

Plan specifications, including hardware, resource limits and locations, are described on our website at the time of ordering. We may improve or change the underlying infrastructure as long as this does not materially reduce the service you paid for.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You sign in using Discord. You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure, and for everything that happens through your Kairo Hosting account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use our services with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • You may not resell, sublicense or share your service in a way that circumvents our plan limits, unless we have agreed to it in writing.

4. Acceptable use

Your use of our services must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to suspension or termination without refund.

5. Your content and backups

You keep all rights to the worlds, configurations, plugins and other data you upload. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, transmit and back up that data so we can provide the service.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. Any backups we take are a convenience, not a guarantee, and we cannot promise they will always be available or complete.

6. Fees, billing and prepaid service

All paid servers are prepaid. You pay for your billing period up front, and the server runs for exactly the period you have paid for. There is no invoicing after the fact and no running balance — if the period is not paid, the server does not run.

  • Payment is due before a period starts. Your server stays online until the end of the period you paid for.
  • To keep a server running, renew it before the paid period expires. If it expires unpaid, we suspend the server, and it may be terminated and its data deleted after a reasonable grace period.
  • Prices are shown on the website. Where required, applicable taxes such as VAT are added or included as indicated at checkout.
  • Free plans may carry additional limits and can be suspended for inactivity. We may change or discontinue free plans at any time.

Payments are non-refundable, including for unused time on a prepaid period. Because service is prepaid, cancelling simply means you do not pay for the next period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

7. Availability and support

We work hard to keep servers online, but no hosting provider can promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, emergency maintenance, network incidents and events outside our control may cause downtime. Unless a specific service level agreement has been agreed in writing, our services are provided on a best-effort basis.

8. Suspension and termination

You can cancel at any time from your panel or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate a service if you breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment is overdue, or if your use threatens the stability, security or legality of our platform. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

After termination, we may delete your server data. Ask us before cancelling if you need an export.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or intent. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost players, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. If a change materially affects you, we will give you reasonable notice by email or in the panel before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Luxembourg. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.

12. Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft

Kairo Hostingis not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios. Your use of Minecraft itself remains subject to Mojang’s own terms and EULA.
